Verisk announced that Ted Gregory and Alex Mican will assume new leadership roles in the organization’s PCS business unit.
Mican and Gregory are both market veterans who each have a decade’s worth of experience at Verisk.
They also drove many of PCS’s most important innovations during this period, from catastrophe loss reporting for Japan to specialty reporting lines to the development of the first cyber insurance exposure platform in industry.
Aaron Brunko, president of Verisk Property Estimating Solutions, commented, “I have been impressed with PCS since my early days at Verisk, and it is a privilege to support the team’s continued growth. Alex and Ted are exceptional leaders and innovators, and I look forward to helping them achieve continued and profound success in this new chapter for PCS.
Gregory will be the Head of Global PCS operations, his role will include taking full leadership of PCS’s property-damage and global loss reporting processes.
Gregory joined PCS in 2013 as operations manager and was instrumental in expanding PCS property-catastrophe services into new regions, particularly Mexico and the Asia-Pacific region.
Alex Mican will serve as Head of Global strategy and growth for PCS. His role will include leadership of all client-facing activities, new product and market development, and primary touchpoint for reinsurance and insurance-linked securities (ILS) activities.
Mican joined Verisk in 2014 as a sales development analyst, moving to PCS in 2016, where he led the development of new products in global specialty lines – most recently PCS Global Aviation.
Both of these changes follow the departure of Tom Johansmeyer, Senior Vice President and Head of PCS, who returned to the reinsurance market by joining Iver Re. The move to broker Inver Re means that Johansmeyer is actually the first PCS leader to leave for a market position.
