Former President Trump attacked Fox News and its flagship morning news program Thursday for the way it covered him.
“Why don’t Fox and Friends show all the polls where I beat Biden, by a lot. They just won’t do it,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social website.
The former president also took issue with the way the network portrayed him physically.
“They intended to show the worst photos of me, especially the big ‘orange’ one with my chin pulled back. They thought they got away with something, they didn’t,” he said. “Like in 2016 in all over again… And then they want me to debate!”
Trump has been rallying against the network for months, arguing that Fox does not give him favorable coverage and accusing the network of promoting his political enemies.
Fox is hosting the first GOP debate next week, which Trump has not committed to participating in, citing his large lead in most GOP primary polls and what he says is a you “enemy” network relationship.
Several top hosts and executives have publicly and privately railed against Trump, urging him to participate in what is likely to be a widely watched televised event with many implications for the 2024 GOP primary.
