Sompo International has announced the opening of its first Canadian branch in Toronto, with Rohan Dixon serving as President and Chief Executive Officer, Commercial P&C Insurance, Canada.
Dixon has over two and a half decades of industry experience and joins Sompo International from AON plc, where he most recently served as Executive Vice President, Chief Strategy Officer of reinsurance operations in Canada and the Caribbean.
In the new role, Dixon will be responsible for developing and driving strategy for the commercial insurance business across Canada.
He will report to Christopher Sparro, Chief Executive Officer, North America Commercial P&C Insurance, Sompo International, who commented, “We are proud to expand on the business that Sompo Japan has built over the last 25 years.
