RSA Insurance, a multinational insurance company, has hired Matthew Gosling as Senior Specialist Underwriter, Engineering, Power & Renewable Energy within the UK Specialty Lines business.
An experienced specialist within construction and engineering, Gosling will be responsible for the management and development of RSA’s engineering portfolio.
In his new role he will be based in London, where he will report to Jon Drabble, Director, Engineering, Power & Renewable Energy, UK Specialty Lines.
In total, Gosling has more than 20 years of underwriting experience, mostly within the construction and engineering space.
He joins RSA from International General Insurance (IGI), where he was previously responsible for managing the Insurance and Reinsurance of Contractors All Risks (CAR) and Erection All Risks (EAR) projects, Inherent Defects Insurance (IDI) and annual contractor policies.
Prior to joining IGI, Gosling held various underwriting positions at HSB Engineering, Sompo Japan and Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS).
In addition, Gosling is also the Chairman of the Contractors All Risks Group and a member of the Executive Committee for the London Engineering Group.
