Earlier this month, the Colts asked the NFL to investigate the Commanders for tampering after an ESPN report noted that Washington had reached out to the retired quarterback Andrew Luckwhose contractual rights still belong to Indianapolis.
The allegation has been resolved, ESPN reported Monday, and the Colts appear satisfied with the outcome, league sources told ESPN’s Stephen Holder.
The investigation determined that the Commanders never spoke directly to Luck or anyone close to him, according to ESPN sources. After the initial report came out, Colts owner Jim Irsay issued a stern warning against any NFL teams that might be interested in talking to Luck.

Luck, 33, has not expressed any desire to return to the NFL. He last played during the 2018 season.
