Aaron Jones is one of the best running backs in the league, but his athletic attributes don’t stop on the football field. On Friday, the Packers star came in first place in the preliminary tournament of the American Cornhole League at Summerfest, meaning he earned a spot in the Superhole IV championship in South Carolina.
Jones and his partner, professional cornholer Yetty Irwan, won two matches on Friday night, first beating Spice Adams and pro David Morse and then defeating Nikki Garcia and pro Eric Zocklein.
The pair became the seventh of what would be eight preliminary champions, and Jones joined Vikings running back Alexander Mattison and Bills defensive tackle Tim Settle Jr. as NFL players in the championship. Red Sox slugger Justin Turner and former track-and-field star Sanya Richards-Ross are other athletes who have won the championship, along with actresses Vinny Guadagnino and Paige Hathaway.

49ers quarterback Sam Darnold won the first iteration of the tournament in 2020, while former quarterback Doug Flutie won each of the last two. The Superhole IV Championship is scheduled for August 4 but the Packers training camp is scheduled to begin the last week of July.
