Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was rushed to hospital on Saturday, where he was assessed as being in “good condition,” his office said.
“The prime minister arrived at the Sheba medical center not long ago,” Netanyahu’s office said in a statement.
He underwent a medical evaluation at the hospital and preliminary tests determined that he was suffering from dehydration.
“The initial examinations show normal findings,” added his office. “The initial evaluation is dehydration.”

Another statement from his office said the Israeli leader spent Friday enjoying Israel’s Sea of Galilee during the high summer temperatures.
He felt dizzy, read the statement, and his doctor ordered him to go to the Sheba Medical Center, Israel’s largest hospital, near the coastal city of Tel Aviv.
Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid issued a statement wishing Netanyahu a “full recovery and good health.”
Isreal is currently in the midst of a heat wave, with temperatures staying in the mid-30s Celsius (mid-90s Fahrenheit).
Netanyahu and his government were sworn in last year. He is Israel’s longest-serving leader, having held office for a total of 15 years in two separate terms.
Netanyahu is 73 years old. He is generally in good health, although he was briefly hospitalized in October after feeling unwell during Yom Kippur prayers.
