Lloyd’s global re/insurer MS Amlin has appointed Erman Hassan as Head of Natural Resources Claims.
With an impressive track record in the industry spanning over a decade, Hassan brings extensive expertise in claims management, particularly in the marine and energy sectors, along with a reputation for successful resolution. in large and complex claims, the re/insurer said.
Hassan’s arrival at MS Amlin is scheduled for August, and he will report directly to Clare Constable, MS Amlin’s Head of Claims.
His most recent role was with QBE Insurance, where he had responsibilities for handling Marine & Energy claims. He built a specialized team focused on driving operational efficiencies within complex acquisitions across all lines of business. Hassan’s innovative approach includes implementing automation and improving data analytics to optimize results.
During his tenure at QBE, Hassan actively contributed as a member of the Joint Energy Claims Committee and represented the insurer at Lloyd’s Market Association and the International Underwriting Association.
Prior to his time at QBE, he served as a loss adjuster at Lloyd Warwick International and Charles Taylor Adjusting.
