The Pittsburgh Pirates reportedly plan to listen to offers for All-Star closer David Bednar before the MLB trade deadline on August 1, according to The New York Post Jon Heyman.
Heyman also reported that the organization knows it will be difficult to deal with the 28-year-old because he is signed until the 2027 season. Therefore, the asking price from the Pirates is likely to be very high.
Bednar just made his second All-Star game appearance and would be an automatic upgrade to any team’s bullpen if they could acquire him.
