London-based Skyrisks Limited has partnered with Quotech, an underwriter-led developer of fully integrated technology platforms for underwriting and broking teams, to provide insurance coverage for the “fast-growing Advanced Air Mobility ( AAM) sector.”
According to Skyrisks, AAM consists of “groundbreaking” aircraft such as the new generation of electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) vehicles, along with a wide range of innovative technologies for piloted and autonomous flight.
“AAM is transforming passenger and cargo operations in a variety of commercial, private, and military contexts. Skyrisks, supported by Convex’s capacity, has adopted Quotech’s Underwriter Workbench to streamline the underwriting process for this exciting high-tech industry,” the company explained.
Alistair Blundy, CEO of Skyrisks, said, “AAM’s risks are diverse and data-intensive, requiring an underwriting approach that offers immediate access to all necessary information.
“We have adopted a data-driven strategy for AAM insurance, which has allowed us to create innovative first and third-party insurance products that match the innovation seen in businesses in our clients.
“The Quotech platform empowers us to focus on the intricacies of each risk by simplifying the underwriting process.”
Guillaume Bonnissent, CEO of Quotech, added, “We are delighted to partner with Skyrisks, the first MGA (Managing General Agent) exclusively dedicated to this modern transport and logistics realm.
“Our workbench product addresses many pain points within the underwriting process by delivering accurate data when and where it is needed.”
“Whether our clients are underwriters, brokers, actuaries, claims managers, or other professionals in the risk sector, Quotech’s capabilities in risk assessment, pricing support, portfolio exposure analysis, capacity sourcing, integrated audit trail creation, and reliability automation of routine tasks is unparalleled.”
