Location-wise, superheroes tend to operate in both modes. Even if they are strong a citywith occasional stops at other places nearby, or they cruise around anywhere in the world (or galaxy, in some cases). It can be confusing at times, to the point where you need a map to keep track of everything—and luckily, Marvel did just that for the X-Men.
With Fall of X in July, things are set to go pretty bad for the mutants and their island nation Krakow. It’s at the point where many of them are scattered around the world, and Marvel is unleashed a map which shows the location of each of the main players in the publishing line. (Each of them, ironically, happened to be headlining an ongoing comic or miniseries that started around the same time as fall) Many of the books are set in New York City—while Iron Man and the core X-Men team are in their respective books, Nightcrawler will play the webhead of Amazing Spider-Man and Madelyne Pryor founded her own team of Dark X-Men who set up shop at the Limbo embassy in New York. Also in that part of the country is Uncanny Avengers — with Rogue, Kwannon, and Quicksilver among its mutant-heavy lineup — in Washington, DC. The last mutant stateside is Wolverine, who ends up in Utah for the next arc of his titular solo comic.

In the north is Flight of the Alpha, a constant ally of the mutants now called upon to stop the Krakoans; above Ecuador are the Children of the Vault, who are currently fighting Bishop and Cable. Finally, we have Iceman in Antarctica for him Amazing Iceman series, Emma Frost in Mykonos preparing for the Hellfire Gala where it’s all set to pop off, and Krakoa’s Quiet Council on the island itself in Immortal X-Men.
There are four pockets of mutants that don’t count, though—because they’re not on Earth. More than that Mars Arakko in the pages of Red X-MenStorm led him Brotherhood of Mutants as a civil war breaks out on the planet. Magik, Typhoid Mary, Dani Moonstar and other mutants are in Vanaheim for The kingdom of X. Jean Gray is MIA for her titular miniseries, and the location of the black ops X-Force the team is equally cagey. We will know for sure in the coming weeks Fall of X brought the X-Men’s Krakoan era to an end to make way for something new. You can view the CATARACT upcoming slate of trailer titles below.
