“Ledger, the company that experienced several security breaches that exposed the personal information of hundreds of thousands of its customers, now wants you to export your private keys from your hardware wallet and give they are fragments, Coincover, and an unnamed third party, from which any two can siphon funds,” tweeted ChainLinkGod.eth, a community ambassador for crypto infrastructure company, Chainlink. “To speed up the recovery, they need you to act yourself and give more of your personal information, allowing anyone who has your identity documents (for example from other data breaches) to get the your funds. This seems … poorly thought out.”
