Image Comics‘ description of Tenement—“By Dario Argento Inferno met Rosemary’s baby in a claustrophobic tale of horror”—should be enough to entice horror fans, even before they hear the bonafides behind this upcoming release: this is the latest from Eisner– winning team Jeff Lemire and Andrea Sorrentino (Gideon Falls, Primordial, The Passage, Ten Thousand Black Feathers).
In addition, it is charged as “the biggest and most important project yet” in the duo’s Bone Orchard Mythos horror universe, with self-contained stories set in the same world as graphic novels and comic book series of varying lengths. Today, Image Comics shared more cover artwork for the TenementThe “extra length” debut issue, which will arrive in comic shops on June 21 as well as on digital platforms such as Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, and Google Play.
WHAT Tenement about? Well… it’s “the story of seven residents of a building and the dark secrets that bind them … beginning with a death that feels more sinister than natural.” Fans of terrible-apartment-building horroryou are lucky.
