The deadline news, reporting that “a movie star is being eyed for the role after Gunn cast fresh face David Corenswet in the title role, and Emmy winner Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane.The studio wanted to go through the casting process after the SAG-AFTRA strike to land an actor to play Luthor.
Hoult’s casting as the iconic Superman villain didn’t last long a deeper cut character is announced: María Gabriela de Faría as Angela “The Engineer” Spica, presumably another villain although Gunn himself softened the character by saying “’Villain’ is a derogatory term!” in a welcome post for the actor of Instagram.
