Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant has been suspended again.
In an Instagram live video reportedly captured on Saturday, the 23-year-old man is seen brandishing what appears to be a gun from the driver’s seat of a slow-moving car.
“We are aware of the social media video involving Ja Morant,” said the Grizzlies in a statement on Sunday morning. “He has been suspended from all activities pending a League review. We have no further comment at this time.”
Morant was suspended eight games without pay in March for a similar situation. He went live on Instagram at a night club in Colorado after losing to the Denver Nuggets and flashed what was later found to be someone else’s gun.
The NBA conducted an investigation into the incident and determined that Morant was not in possession of the gun while traveling with the team. The police did not charge him with the crime.
Morant met with NBA commissioner Adam Silver to discuss his behavior at the time, which was deemed “harmful to the league” in a statement from the NBA.
The Colorado outing comes shortly after a report from the Washington Post detailed allegations that Morant assaulted a teenager and threatened to shoot him during a pickup game at his home last summer. . He is also accused of threatening the head of security at a Memphis mall in a separate incident.
