This is probably my favorite way to use Google Lens. As a gardener, I like to scatter wildflower seeds every spring. The only problem with big bags of wildflower seeds is that there are so many different types of flowers in them, so you never know what you’re going to get.

Whenever a surprise beauty blooms, I like to launch my Google app and look at it with Lens. Within seconds and without fail, I had an answer.
And it’s not only good for flowers; this is an excellent feature for any outdoor lover who wants to identify a mystery plant or an unfamiliar insect.

At the behest of my young children, I often find myself looking for bugs; as a result, I learned more than I expected about Japanese beetles, carrion beetles, and cucumber beetles, to name a few.
Besides bugs, Google Lens can identify different species of almost any animal. It can also identify dog and cat breeds if you’re wondering about a pet.
