World leaders are arriving in the Indian capital of Delhi this week for the G20 summit, and authorities are taking a number of steps to improve the city.
They do elaborate beautification drives, putting up sculptures, statues and billboards. Some houses were also demolished before the event – officials said they were built illegally, but residents said they lost all their belongings and were left homeless.
Schools, colleges, shops and offices will be closed in many places, especially in central Delhi, where the summit will be held.
So what do the people of Delhi think about these measures, and the glittering summit held in their city?
