
Deborah Chow, Disney+’s show director, Obi-Wan Kenobiproceeded to Call the Crew podcast to chat about the challenges that come with working on limited series. He just finished Mandalorians and Kenobi went through “many iterations” and passed through many hands before landing in his lap.
He said that while Kenobi originally made as a standalone film, even at the time it was acquired by him, as a limited series, it was always thought of as “one big story.” So it makes sense that they would tap a director to helm all six episodes of the show. “It’s a character journey for Obi-Wan,” Chow said.
