In a previously recorded appearance on the Josh Horowitz podcast Happy Sad Confused highlighted Big Tourism, movie star David Harbor talks about Stranger Things end and join James Gunn’s Creature Commands for DC Studios. Both projects are now on hold as the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes continue while studios drag their feet.

They’re continuing to outdo themselves, it’s so far on-strike the writers called the Duffer Brothers. It’s a hell of a task, too. I mean, the set pieces and the things in the scripts that we’ve seen are bigger than anything we’ve done before.
When asked if he could share when after the season 4 finale the show intends to pick up, Harbor teased that it would be, “After where season 4 ended”. He continued, “…if you look at us on that hill looking at ash and smoke and fire—we’ll start somewhere after that. So you have to think that the world is a different place. ” But how long after that remains to be seen, the young cast of Stranger Things have grown into adults. “It’s been a long shoot, which is difficult because we haven’t started yet, but it is what it is,” he said of the reality of the situation. “I’m excited to be back. I’m excited to wrap it up in a bold, unique way. I’m excited to take a swing at this character, because you know they’re going to pay off these OG characters: Eleven, Hopper, Joyce, Will, Mike. They can repay them in many ways because they have lived with you for the last eight years.
And as for whether he’s read a version of the Duffers’ final script, Harbor confirmed, “I haven’t but I know what it is. I know where we’re netting out and it’s very moving. That’s it.” is the term I would use.” he flirted.
Harbor is also set to lead James Gunn’s animated series for DC Studios Creature Commands like Eric Frankenstein. So it’s a great character to play—so funny. And James is just such a wonderful person, I want to work for him. He explained, “I think in terms of building in this universe, there’s a lot of opportunity for, you know, these characters to be all different in different iterations. You can have a living thing, you can have a cartoon that can be anything.
He went on to praise working with Gunn, “What he did with that Guardians thing and what he does with the character, what he does with the different action sequences—it’s exciting to be a part of that thing with someone who started this thing and someone who has you creative brain. he mentioned adding that they have recorded sessions in the bag for the show. “We did a bunch of them and it was funny as hell. I mean, we were dying in the room and usually I’m so serious, I don’t really bother. [around] and we died. I mean, it’s terrible.
