On the Chiefs’ last drive of the game, Valdes-Scantling had a cornerback Bradley Roby beating a deep route down the middle of the field. However Patrick Mahomes Placing his shot right on the money, Valdes-Scantling missed the catch, as the ball bounced right off his hands.
It was a 51-yard touchdown reception to give Kansas City the lead with less than two minutes left in the game. However, the Chiefs failed to convert on their next two plays, ending in a disappointing 21-17 loss.

According to the ESPN broadcast, Monday’s game marked the sixth time this season that Valdes-Scantling has thrown a pass of 30 or more yards. Additionally, Kansas City’s wide receiving corps leads the NFL with 26 drops.
