CAC Group, a national insurance brokerage business that includes CAC Specialty, Cobbs Allen, and Dorset Peak, has announced two leadership appointments.
Eric Joost will serve as Chief Operating Officer and Grantland Rice, IV as Chief Administrative Officer.
Michael Rice, CEO of CAC Group commented on the hires, “Throughout their careers, Eric and Grantland have established themselves as respected leaders within the industry and the organization. They have played an integral role in improving the company’s strategy and developing growth initiatives. We are pleased to recognize their leadership with these well-deserved promotions.”
In his new role, Joost will identify and manage operational risks, develop best practices for organizational processes, and provide oversight of CAC Specialty’s operational resources. Meanwhile, Rice is responsible for implementing organizational goals, scaling new initiatives and guiding financial standards and goals.
Joost previously led CAC Specialty as Chief Technology and Global Markets Officer, leading market relations and all technology efforts.
Prior to joining CAC Specialty, he served as Global Head of Property & Casualty for WTW.
Rice joined Cobbs Allen in 2013 and has served in several roles over the years, including Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer.
Rice played a key role in the geographic expansion within Cobbs Allen and the formation of CAC Specialty. He is active within the sector, serving on several CIAB committees, including one that looks at future risks affecting the industry.
Prior to joining Cobbs Allen, Rice was an Audit Manager with Sellers Richardson Holman & West, focused on manufacturing, education, and investment clients.
