Bitcoin 2023 Is The Festival Of Humanity We Need As Technology’s Grip Grows Stronger

This is an opinion editorial by Nozomi Hayase, Ph.D., who has a background in psychology and human development. Disclaimer: Bitcoin 2023 and Bitcoin Magazine are both operated by BTC Inc.

With rising inflation and more and more bank failures, the bad nature of the fiat system is becoming more apparent by the day. Amid this chaos, Bitcoin enthusiasts remain calm, even generally optimistic about their future.

As public trust in institutions weakens, governments around the world are gearing up for central bank digital currencies (CBDC) as a way to reassert their authority over people’s money.

    “Thank God, we have Bitcoin!”

Those of us lucky enough to find it are relieved to have Bitcoin. As Christine Lagarde, the former head of the European Central Bank RECOGNIZEDBitcoin is an escape hatch from the financial surveillance state.

Bitcoin, the hardest currency ever created, presents a real alternative to existing fiat currencies and CBDCs. Now, those who choose to do so do not have to take the road to a dystopian society. It can comfort us. Some of you might think we can just HODL and maybe the new orange pills here and there, and just wait for hyperbitcoinization. But I said, “Not yet. We can’t just sit back and relax.”

We Bitcoiners have important tasks ahead: Bitcoin’s war against the fraudulent banking system is far from over. It’s just getting started.

    The War has begun

Bitcoin, in the 14 years since its creation, has slowly revealed its revolutionary potential. Bitcoin is a form of “digital gold” that cannot be mined. As a saving technology, it provides inflation proofing, which allows us to store value safely. Its core feature of resisting censorship also helped it gain popularity, as the importance of having “freedom money” became clearer to political dissidents and the oppressed around the world.

Now that the COVID-19 pandemic has subsided, and the emergency has been declared over, world leaders are looking to re-engineer the economy. The Great Reset initiatives plan to use CBDCs as instruments of control, in the process creating a post-human society where humans, as we know them, no longer exist.

Things are moving fast. Commenting on the development of AI and its potential consequences for humanity, Jordan Peterson, a prominent Canadian psychologist, said, “We’d better get our acts together before the giants appear . It’s like they’re knocking on the door now.”

Peterson discussed how ChatGPT, a large-scale language model (LLM) and advanced conversational chatbot, is already building a more intelligent system. He describes the process by which, in the next few years, this AI model will be able to extract a model of the world from the entire language set, and use that to create a fully rendered, realistic picture. animation that cannot be distinguished from the image of a real one. man. By giving an example of turning a virtual girlfriend into a sexual partner, he explains how easily this representation of reality can be so completely wrong that we all get confused about what is real and what is not. .

And this technology is developing rapidly. In March 2023, ChatGPT4, the most powerful artificial intelligence, was released. And Bitcoiners are in a unique position to take Peterson’s warning seriously and start doing something about the issues he raises.

Bitcoin is a pro-human technology. It provides a tool for us to identify the fake truth and helps us to verify and ensure the truth, which is supported by our real human experiences.

Today, the digitalization of all aspects of society is happening. From finance to healthcare and education, people are being led by the web to live their lives in a way that separates them from their bodies and from the natural environment. This trend leads to “hyper-mechanization,” a term I use to describe the turning point where machines and robots become dominant in our world, dictating our experiences.

This digitization force, which has now become overwhelming, has also permeated the Bitcoin space. From Twitter to Nostr, and more than we’d like to admit, many of us are hooked on iPhones and computers that keep us plugged into the matrix, cut off from real, heart-to-heart interactions with other people.

As a machine-takeover world increasingly threatens the essence of what it means to be human, it is important for us to learn to remove ourselves and maintain our relationships with ourselves and nature. We should collectively practice offline from time to time, connecting with each other in real life. It is important for us to create a strong network of human proof of work, built on top of technology that can prove the truth, based on our true feelings.

Experience The Power Of Bitcoin, Firsthand

This week, from May 18 to May 20, the biggest Bitcoin conference will take place in Miami Beach, Florida, which will bring together Bitcoiners from all over the world. With presentations and panels from experts, professionals and industry leaders (check the speaker list here), this three-day educational event will provide a space for Bitcoiners to gather outside of cyberspace and get to know each other.

from brunches at happy-hour pleb parties, there are many opportunities for Bitcoiners to hang out. Through our exchanges of smiles and hugs, we will have personal experiences that demonstrate the power of bitcoin as the currency of love.

Importantly, the conference will also give us an opportunity to share our appreciation for the artists who are advancing the Bitcoin space. It will host an art gallery featuring the work of more than 60 talented Bitcoin artists.

There, attendees can meet and interact with these artists in person. Now that AI can create sophisticated images in a second and mimic our creativity, it has become important for us to recognize the value of art created by real people who are inspired by their own imaginations. awon, and engaged in a hard and honest work. in love

During the first and second general attendance days of Bitcoin 2023 (on May 19 and 20, 2023), the excitement of the Bitcoin competition will be brought to the main exposition hall to ignite the spirit of collaboration and cooperation. Initiated as a community project, the Bitcoin Games will provide a fun and joyful competition where local meetups can match their skills and talents to compete. The winning team will take home the trophy and a full BTC, which can be used to help develop their community (check here for details).

From the Bitcoin Bazaar, a huge peer-to-peer market, to the official after party, lots of fun things will happen throughout the week (check the full agenda here).

Bitcoin is an electronic cash backed by human ingenuity. But what is the power of Bitcoin is our love and the values shared in our hearts. What good is money for free speech, if no one can speak? What is the value of life, if no one can feel and experience its fullness?

In Bitcoin 2023, Bitcoiners around the world can work together towards hyperbitcoinization, to preserve what makes us unique as humans. It presents a festival to the people.

    “Tick tock, next block.”

The countdown has begun. It’s time to cultivate a relentless optimism and celebrate the beauty and magnificence that is all of us.

This is a guest post by Nozomi Hayase. The opinions expressed are their own and do not necessarily reflect those of BTC Inc or Bitcoin Magazine.
