When most people think about multiroom, the first brand that comes to mind is Sonos. It is the pioneer and industry leader in this space, and its speakers allow you to listen to music in your home using a reliable Wi-Fi connection, instead of relying on Bluetooth, which can sometimes get dirty. The company has expanded its line over the years – including new Era 100 and Era 300 speakers earlier this spring — and it now offers a wide range of speakersfrom outdoor and tabletop speakers to soundbars and subwoofers.
Sonos has long been known for its good sound quality, and the latest operating system S2 supports hi-res audio standards such as Dolby Atmos. Wi-Fi playback is compatible with Apple AirPlay 2 and Spotify Connect, as well as Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant voice commands, so you can cast audio directly without having to use the Sonos app. In addition, Sonos portable speakers add versatility to Bluetooth playback.
Despite the variety of speakers by Sonos, one thing remains constant: the lack of deals. Its speakers are rarely discounted. Usually there are a few Speaker sets are sold on Sonos if you’re looking for a multispeaker setup. For example, you can save $30 for a Roam and Move set or rescue $20 for a pair of Roam speakers. You can too save $29 on a pair of new Era 100 speakers or save $45 on two Era 300 speakers.
Currently, neither Sonos nor Amazon or any online retailer offers any speaker models at a discounted price, but you can save on Sonos Certified Refurbished products
We’ve rounded up the most popular Sonos products here, even though many of them aren’t currently discounted, and we’ll update this story as more Sonos speakers go on sale.
The new Sonos Era 100 replaces the Sonos One as the company’s mainstream indoor smart speaker. It sounds better than the One while also adding Bluetooth and a line-in port (via USB-C) for greater playback versatility. You can save $30 on a pair of Era 100 speakers. Read our Sonos Era 100 review.
If you double up on the new Sonos premium indoor smart speaker, the Era 300, you’ll save $45. It has six drivers and support for Dolby Atmos spatial audio. This is the most advanced speaker in the Sonos line.
This speaker set allows you to use two Roam speakers together for stereo sound, and you can separate the pair and use each in different areas of your home or via Bluetooth while traveling. When purchased together, you get a $20 discount.

This set bundles the smallest portable speaker in the lineup with the largest portable speaker for flexibility around your home. This will save you $30.
This set pairs the large but portable Move speaker with the Arc soundbar and will save you $60. Together, the speakers create an excellent home theater setup via Wi-Fi. You have the flexibility to separate the pair and take the portable Move with you and listen anywhere via Bluetooth.
The new Sonos Era 100 replaces the Sonos One as the company’s mainstream indoor smart speaker. It costs $30 more than the One, but in our estimation the extra cost is easily justified. In fact, in our review, we stated that the Era 100 is the best smart speaker for the money. It offers a trio of improvements from One. The first two additions increase versatility. The One lets you stream only via Wi-Fi, and the Era 100 adds Bluetooth and a line-in port (via USB-C) for even more gaming versatility. Third and most important, Era 100 is better than Usa. It is a little bigger than the One and packs two side-firing tweeters for stereo sound.

The Sonos Era 300 boasts a completely new design and slots as the company’s premium indoor smart speaker. It is larger than the Sonos Era 100 and includes Dolby Atmos spatial audio support with dedicated stereo drivers and height speakers. It also features a built-in calibration routine called Quick Tune that uses the onboard “smart” microphones, in addition to the existing iOS Trueplay system.
Sonos One combines speaker smarts, sound quality and affordability. It supports Alexa and Google Assistant and boasts a bigger, fuller sound than almost all other smart speakers. It also supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth playback, which gives it some versatility, even if you don’t leave it outside. Although it has been replaced by the new Era 100 speaker, the One has not been discounted and is still being sold at full price.

The Sonos Arc is one of the best soundbars you can buy. Unlike the Beam, the Arc packs an integrated subwoofer. Although it costs hundreds more than the Beam, you don’t need to buy a separate subwoofer to rattle the windows.

The Roam is the smallest speaker in the Sonos line. It’s not weatherproof and gets its Roam moniker because of its ability to automatically switch between Wi-Fi when you’re at home and Bluetooth when you’re, well, roaming. You can bark its voice commands through Alexa or Google Assistant if the speaker is on your Wi-Fi network. And we found that it produced impressive sound for a speaker of its size. Read our Sonos Roam review.
The SL version of the Roam removes the microphone and costs $20 less than the regular Roam. This is a good choice if you want to save money or have privacy concerns about Amazon or Google listening to you inside your home.
The second generation Beam is a compact soundbar with Dolby Atmos that makes movies sound big with its virtual surround capabilities. It’s also a smart speaker with Alexa and Google Assistant on board.

To get the powerful bass of music and the explosions of movies that you want to not only hear but also feel, add the Sonos Sub to your setup. It quickly and wirelessly connects via Wi-Fi and surrounds the sound of your home theater by managing low frequencies.
The SL skips the microphone and Amazon and Google voice commands, and therefore costs less than the Sonos One.
The Move is Sonos’ largest portable smart speaker. It offers the same Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity as Roam and is weatherproof, too, for indoor and outdoor use. It’s bigger than the Roam and costs more than double the price, but it also has a bigger sound with better bass.

Lima is a large tabletop speaker that works with Wi-Fi. It doesn’t have Bluetooth connectivity or an onboard voice assistant. It can be positioned horizontally for stereo sound and switched to mono sound when sitting vertically. With its 3.5mm audio jack, you can connect a turntable, CD player or other device directly to the Lima.
