If you’re looking for a way to find out about upcoming shows that don’t rely on scrolling through the latest viral TikTok tour clip, Apple Music has you covered.
Today (May 16), Apple launched new concert discovery features in Apple Music and Maps. Now, the music streaming platform will allow users to listen to lists of selected upcoming tours through a new feature called Set List. Apple also released 40 new Apple Music Guides highlighting some of the best live music venues around the world.
You’re never old, concerts are awesome these days
Created by Apple Music editors, the guides include cities such as Chicago, Detroit, Los Angeles, Nashville, New York City, San Francisco, Berlin, London, Paris, Vienna, Tokyo, Melbourne, Sydney, and Mexico City . It’s a fun collaboration between Apple Music and Maps that gives fans a new entry point to learn local music history. The guides also allow fans to see upcoming concerts in different cities promoted through Shazam, which is owned by Apple.

Notably, Apple Music does not sell concert tickets through Set Lists or Apple Music Guides. When you click to view upcoming concerts through Shazam, Shazam will immediately link you to outside ticket providers. Last year, its competitor Spotify got into the ticket game and piloted Spotify Tickets. Meanwhile, TikTok partnered with Ticketmaster in August.
Obviously everyone loves live events. These updates come at a time when buying tickets is a fraught experience and frustration with Ticketmaster is at an all-time high.
