Allianz Partners UK & Ireland has appointed Patricia Moon as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective March 1, 2023.
Moon, who previously served as CEO of Allianz Partners Japan, brings extensive industry experience and knowledge to his new role.
Moon assumed the position of CEO from Tim Tozer, who retired from his post on February 28, 2023.
Tozer, who has been CEO of Allianz Partners UK and Ireland since September 2018, will move into the role of Non-Executive Chairman, replacing Mike Webb. Tozer’s extensive experience will continue to benefit the UK and Ireland business in his new capacity.
Moon’s career spanned more than 20 years with Allianz, where he worked in four different countries, across different business lines and functions.
As CEO of Allianz Partners Japan since 2019, Moon has successfully expanded the company’s operations in the country while prioritizing people engagement and enhancing long-term product and digital capabilities.
Expressing his enthusiasm for the new role, Moon stated, “I am delighted to now lead the UK and Ireland business as CEO. I love our business and the impact it has on the lives of our customers.
He recognized the dedication of the Allianz Partners UK and Ireland team to helping individuals during challenging times, while travelling, at home, or on the road. Moon emphasized the company’s mission to deliver exceptional experiences and peace of mind to customers and business partners.
Prior to his tenure in Japan, Moon served as Global Head of HR for Allianz Partners Group in Paris, where he played a key role in defining the organization’s global HR strategy and managing its implementation for more than 30 units worldwide. He also held various positions at Allianz SE in Munich and Allianz Portugal.
Moon will report to Alexis Obligi, the Regional CEO for Western Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East and Africa (MEA).
Oblig extended a warm welcome to Patricia and expressed confidence in her ability to drive the growth journey of Allianz Partners UK and Ireland. He also thanked Tozer for his significant contribution to the development of the business during his tenure and his continued support as Non-Executive Chairman.
