Cantlay shot a 4-over 74 on Thursday. Starting his second round on the back nine, Cantlay converted four birdies into just one bogey. Over his last nine holes, Cantlay was even, with a birdie on his fourth hole and a bogey on his 18th hole.
When his second round ended, Cantlay was five shots off the lead. The 31-year-old is an eight-time winner on the PGA Tour, including the 2021 FedEx Cup.
